Power OCR applies the latest text recognition engine technology based on "Recognita" and "OmniPage" OCR. Compared to the standard recognition engine of the same provider which is implemented in all of softelec's VP software products, the optional Power OCR can improve on raster text recognition rates up to 100 %. Power OCR also contains character recognition support for a variety of additional languages, such as Cyrillic, Greek and others which are not available in the VP software standard OCR module. Power OCR is available as an add-on for all VPHybridCAD products starting from version 9.03, for VPmap Series starting from version 2.13, and for VPindex V3. Power OCR needs to be ordered separately and will be enabled with a license code sent by email. The license code can be entered after Power OCR has been installed. When installed and enabled Power OCR will be tied to the respective PC workstation. It is not controlled by a VP software hardlock (dongle). A Power OCR license cannot be used in "floating" mode.
