Preface: With VPHybridCAD Version 6.5 and Version 7.11 softelec changed to a new hardlock technology for copy protection. Hardlocks of previous versions down to Version 4.0 are already prepared to be programmed with this new technology. Updates/Upgrades will be carried out by just entering a code which is issued by softelec. However, after entering an Update/Upgrade code the respective lock will no longer operate with any previous VP version! Older software does not recognize newer hardlocks (e.g. V7.02 software does not recognize V7.12 hardlock). |

1. After installing/upgrading my license, I cannot run my previous VP license. What is the problem? With Version 7.11, new security features had been added to the hardlock. You can run previous Version 6.75, simply by installing the Version 6.76 patch, provided in the download section of this wesite. Back to Top of Page 2. After updating, I still cannot run the new VP version - it starts in demo mode. One possibility is that a code previously issued for an Update/Upgrade has not been input. Since the new code refers always to the latest status softelec knows, the hardlock is now lacking the correct internal information. In this case please check whether you have forgotten to input a previous issued code. Another possibility could be, if you upgraded the hardlock on another PC.
